Charlie Bowden is a dedicated air rifle shooter progressing to the British Shooting pathway, working toward the long‑term goal of representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games. His journey blends elite sporting ambition with adventure, charity, and entrepreneurship — creating a unique profile built on discipline, courage, and impact.

Charlie’s story is defined by a willingness to take on challenges far beyond his years. From climbing Mount Kilimanjaro at 16 to trekking through the Sumatran jungle, he has consistently chosen the harder path — not for recognition, but for growth.
These experiences have shaped his resilience, focus, and mental strength, qualities that now underpin his shooting career.
A Sporting Life
Charlie is progressing through the UK Sport “Find Your Greatness” pathway, training at NSRA Aldersley and Havant. His commitment to precision, discipline, and continuous improvement drives his ambition to compete for Team GB in the Olympic Games.
Alongside shooting, Charlie is a multi‑sport athlete with achievements in cricket, tennis, and endurance events — including completing a marathon distance run at age 10 and earning Bowler of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
Adventure With Purpose
Adventure is a core part of Charlie’s identity. He has taken on major expeditions not just for personal challenge, but to make a difference.
His Kilimanjaro climb raised £14,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and he continues to combine physical challenges with charitable impact. Upcoming expeditions include a Sahara trek and the National Three Peaks Challenge.
Entrepreneurial Spirit
Charlie is also developing his entrepreneurial side through projects like Tempting, a hand‑crafted food and drinks business and other youth ventures. He approaches business with the same mindset he brings to sport and adventure: curiosity, discipline, and a desire to build something meaningful. He also prioritises sustainable practices, avoiding single‑use plastics and making products from scratch to minimise waste.
Charlie’s journey is still in its early chapters, but his trajectory is clear. He is building a life defined by hard work, resilience, and purpose — and he is committed to inspiring others along the way.
